On the Road in Style! How Our New Custom Trailer is Transforming Therapy Visits

We have some wonderful news to share from around the farm! East Lindsey District Council recently featured our therapy team on their page, highlighting the huge milestone we reached with our brand-new, purpose-built goat trailer.

If you’ve followed our journey at Hensell Goat Rescue Care Farm, you know how passionate we are about bringing our herd out into the local community. Taking our therapy goats into care homes, schools, and hospitals brings immense joy, comfort, and therapeutic benefits to people of all ages.

But as anyone who works with goats knows... they can be a little mischievous! To keep our four-legged team safe, comfortable, and stress-free on the road, we urgently needed a smaller, tailor-made setup.

A True Community Effort

Back in 2025, we launched an online crowdfunding appeal through the South and East Lincolnshire Crowd platform. Thanks to the incredible generosity of our local community and animal lovers far and wide, we raised over £2,000 in public donations.

To top it all off, the East Lindsey Investment Fund (ELIF) matched that generosity with a £2,000 grant—bringing our grand total to a fantastic £4,095!

A Total Game-Changer for the Herd

Our made-to-measure trailer was officially delivered in February 2026, and it has been a complete success ever since. Having a space designed specifically for the goats makes loading, transit, and unloading smoother and safer than ever.

As Gill put it:

"Goats can be a bit naughty, so to be able to transport them in a purpose-built trailer is amazing and a total game-changer for us!"
